As part of our Cotton Days Celebration Washington City will be providing dumpsters to assist our citizens with their spring cleaning efforts. The dumpsters will be available April 25, 26 and 27th. They will be located at: -North end of Playa Della Rosita -Buena Vista and Main Street -2000 South Washington Fields Road -Quail Ridge Please do not dispose of appliances, tires, batteries, construction waste, paint or other chemicals.

8:00am Desert Clean Up Event @ Vacant Lot (Map)
Washington City is asking for volunteers from the Community to team with your City staff to clean up our public lands. Volunteers and staff will be meeting on at 8am on Friday April 25, 2014 at Buena Vista Blvd and Main street. The City will provide resources for the clean up. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves. Come out and make a difference in your community!

6:00pm Community Center Anniversary Party @ (Map)
The Washington City Community Center will host the Kick Off of Cotton Days. If you have not had an opportunity to walk the halls of this monumental building then this is your chance. If you already have, then they invite you back. There will be activities for the whole family and great discounts for annual memberships. This evening will provide your whole family with the opportunity to enjoy the facility for only $1 a person. That's right just $1 a person. Community Center will be serving BBQ on a first come first serve basis. In addition, vendor booths, dance performances, water walker balls, swimming, carnival rides, fun games, character visits, and much more!

Washington City is excited to continue the tradition of the Cotton Days Junior Rodeo. Once again the lights will be lit at the old posse grounds in Washington, for kids 14 and under to compete in events that include barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway, poles, flag chase, team roping, and much more while competing for trophies and buckles. This year's rodeo will include mutton bustin' that will allow all kids to come and get a little dirty. So put on your cowboy boots and hats, saddle your horse and c'mon down and enjoy a night of fun, food and entertainment. Download the Junior Rodeo registration form at CottonDays.org.

Fishing Derby is being held at the Razor Ridge Park on Tues. May 10th. All 6-13 yr olds are welcome to join us from 6:00PM-7:30PM.
